Card Patterns Sketch Challenge # 6 is up. Here is the sketch, which I really like - I am partial to circles! For my take on the challenge, I used Me and My Big Ideas as the background paper. Then I used a pinkish vellum with a little design in it for the trianglular shape. I have forgotten how much I love vellum. I always have the age old problem of how to keep the adhesive from showing when I use it, but I am happy to say that I used Scotch Vellum Tape for the first time, and it worked like a dream! So you will be seeing more vellum in my creations in the future! I love the soft look it gives.
I made the flower by using Sizzix dies on cs, covering them with foil tape (the kind you find in the hardware store), and then stamping them with various colors of alcohol ink. I love this technique and use it a lot. The top flower is a Prima. I also used a Krylon Gold Leaf marker on various edges throughout the card.
Thanks for looking, and please leave comments. I really enjoy them.
Oh yes, the ladies who are doing my Memories from the Attic March DT Challenge, pay attention to this post. I am borrowing this sketch from Card Patterns as my 3rd weekly DT March challenge for the Blog Hop! Remember, anyone can join in our Blog Hop or my my specific challenges for this month. You do need to join our site, but then you can jump right in. Some great RAKs!
